中国半导体行业发展状况
一支新生力量的崛起---近年来IC Spectrum Co., Ltd随着中国经济的持续高速发展，世界半导体工业正在逐渐从欧美国家及台湾地区向中国大陆转移。以上海为中心的长三角地区，已经成为中国半导体的工业中心。进入21世纪以来，在国内巨大的市场需求推动下，中国的集成电路设计能力及制造技术日益成熟。预计在未来几年内，中国的集成电路技术研发水平将与发达国家并驾齐驱。目前，中国半导体工业强劲的发展势头预示着该领域的广阔前景，可谓机遇与挑战并存。
今天，ACP很荣幸地邀请到IC Spectrum Co., Ltd. 副总裁Tom Ambrose先生就有关中国半导体工业现状和未来趋势以及IC Spectrum Co., Ltd. 的创立将为达福地区的专业人士做一演说。其中Tom Ambrose先生提到：在过去的十年间，众多国外半导体企业纷纷投资中国建立自己的芯片代工企业，在一定程度上推动了中国半导体工业的发展。但是在IC Spectrum Co., Ltd建立以前，中国大陆并没有一个真正意义上属于本土的半导体企业。
作为一家新崛起的半导体公司，IC Spectrum Co., Ltd选址于国内电子制造业的重要区域之一---昆山经济技术开发区，旨在建设一条8英寸晶圆生产线，采用0.35-0.18微米线宽技术制造大规模集成电路芯片。目标发展成为集生产、设计、研发为一体，具有核心竞争力的半导体公司。该项目总投资超过15亿美元，其中一期投资额为5亿美元。IC Spectrum Co., Ltd获得了海外实力雄厚公司的大规模投资以及中国政府的大力支持。同时已于多家国际半导体公司，如日本东芝，AG半导体和国内许多设备供应商建立了战略合作伙伴关系。
Tom Ambrose先生在报告中还将提到IC Spectrum Co., Ltd的创立不仅给中国半导体行业注入了新鲜的活力，同时也为海外及本土有识之士提供了具有挑战性的就业机会和更为广阔的发展空间。
Tom Ambrose先生现任IC Spectrum Co., Ltd的副总裁。在加入IC Spectrum Co., Ltd之前Tom Ambrose曾任Spotfire公司在亚州高级技术销售总监。1995年至2004年Tom Ambrose先生在德州仪器工作从事芯片制造生产及工艺开发工作。2001年至2003 Tom Ambrose先生曾任德州仪器台湾晶园计划台基电项目经理，二年内为TI创造近300millions的产值。

Fun to Learn Chinese 中文趣味大奖赛

Luncheon & Program with Zhou Wenzhong, Ambassador of China to the United States
Zhou Wenzhong was appointed in April 2005 by President Hu Jintao. He is part of a new breed of younger and more sophisticated Chinese diplomats. Zhou, pronounced "Joe", has announced his goal of sitting down with all 535 members of congress, and visiting all 50 states while in office. He has become the most public face of China's strategy to engage in a "mind-to-mind" talk with the United States.

Hurricane Katrina evacuees Need Help
Immediately
Volunteers are needed to manage an information crisis center at
the Wyndham Anatole Hotel. The center will serve all the evacuees that
got out before the storm and have been staying in local hotels.
