“八月中秋桂子香，百年奥运荡心肠。”当普罗米修斯的火种熄灭在鸟巢上空时，是否你还沉浸在2008北京奥运会那璀璨绚烂，气势恢宏的开幕及闭幕式中？
又一季中秋，又一轮皓月盈空，这个菊泛金黄，云淡天朗的日子里，由美中专业人士协会（ACP Foundation）主办，特邀上海戏剧学院舞蹈学院青年舞蹈团，再为达福地区献上一场充满动力美感，洋溢朝气活力的视觉盛宴。
上海戏剧学院舞蹈学院青年舞蹈团在中国一直享有盛誉。他们创造的大型舞蹈《中华鼓舞》及大型舞剧《杨贵妃》以其精湛的舞艺和宏大的气势获得好评。此次带来的11个表演节目各有特色，或清新雅致，流云婉转凸显中国传统文化的深邃，或如一朵幽兰，散发的淡淡的却回味无穷的芳香，或以张驰有力的节奏，磅礴的气势呈现出一种豪迈。
中秋佳节的表演是ACP在达福地区组织的年度盛会，至今已有十四载，每次都吸引着大量观众，好评如潮。此次借奥运之风，更邀国内高水平的专业演出团队。日近中秋，不容错过的精彩绝伦；身在异乡，ACP盛邀欢聚一堂，今宵月同望！

ACP Foundation, a local non-profit organization, is very proud to host the 2008 Mid-Autumn Festival Performing Arts show, featuring The Dancing Company of Shanghai Theater Academy on Sunday, October 12, 2008, 6:30PM at the Eisemann Center in Richardson (get ticket online at www.eisemanncenter.com) This will be a magnificent dance program that you will always remember! Association of Chinese Professionals (ACP Foundation) has grown to be one of the largest and most active Chinese American organizations in Texas, with over 1,000 members. ACP Foundation’s accomplishments in recent years include putting together numerous events and activities to benefit the community in the areas of education, business development, culture, life enrichment, technology advancement, and community welfare. Most recently we have successfully raised $225,000 to support the victims of the earthquake in Sichuan, China.
As ACP’s annual signature event, the Mid-Autumn Festival Performing Arts Shows have attracted many people with an average audience of 1,500 at each performance. It has 14 years of successful track record. This year we are even more fortunate to have a group of accomplished dancers from Shanghai Theatre Academy who will perform a wide variety of programs to demonstrate their skills and artistry, which showcase the splendid Chinese culture and history and music. Chinese performers have impressed the world at the recent Olympic opening ceremony. We would like to show you that these dancers would also impress the DFW community.

Luncheon & Program with Zhou Wenzhong, Ambassador of China to the United States
Zhou Wenzhong was appointed in April 2005 by President Hu Jintao. He is part of a new breed of younger and more sophisticated Chinese diplomats. Zhou, pronounced "Joe", has announced his goal of sitting down with all 535 members of congress, and visiting all 50 states while in office. He has become the most public face of China's strategy to engage in a "mind-to-mind" talk with the United States.

Hurricane Katrina evacuees Need Help

Volunteers are needed to manage an information crisis center at
the Wyndham Anatole Hotel. The center will serve all the evacuees that
got out before the storm and have been staying in local hotels.
